DESIGN BENEFITS

Available only as outward opening

This type of window is sometimes known in the UK as a friction hinge window

Provides easy clean facility, as when opened at right angle to frame, a 100mm gap allows entry to clean the outer pane. This type of window is ideal for multi-storey buildings, where cleaning and maintenance present Health & Safety issues.

This type of window is not available in an aluminium clad format.

Has achieved BS7950 'Secure By Design' accreditation.

Can be painted or stained externally with one colour, with an alternative colour used internally. A natural wood finish is often used internally so as to blend with the natural wood sill or floor. See Fully Reversible for duotone windows.
