INSULATED CAVITY CLOSERS

Where cavity closers are required, we will supply Dacatie 2000 as our preferred material.

Dacatie 2000 has a rigid PVCu profile enclosing a core of CFC-free insulation that forms a continuous insulated cavity closer. It is NHBC approved and Agrement certified, can be used on all reveals and cavities, and is suited to all types of door and window openings.

Such closers can be factory assembled as three or four-sided frame formers to suit cavity widths from 50mm to 100mm. This gives the benefit of accurate, mechanically jointed frame formers, factory-made to fit specific brick opening sizes and eliminating the need for site-fabricated templates.

TRICKLE VENTS

The head frame of the standard window can be enlarged to allow the fitting of most proprietary trickle venting systems.

Using the head frame provides considerable flexibility in the type of venting that can be fitted, and this would include humidity controlled, acoustic and passive stack systems.

RESTRICTORS / STAYS

Surface mounted restrictors are available in a variety of metal and nylon construction.

Opening at head is automatically restricted to 100mm.

EXTENDED SILLS

Traditionally, the extended sill has been the prime weak spot in a window design. The thin tapered section is prone to warping and cracking at an early stage in the life of the window, and the end grain exposure is a continual source of water ingress and subsequent rot.

To remedy this situation our windows can be supplied with an aluminium extended sill that requires no maintenance. It is available in plain mill finish or powder coated to match the colour of the window. The aluminium is secured to the base of the bottom frame, and the run off and the drip can be made to suit your particular requirements.

GUARANTEES

The timber is guaranteed for thirty years against rot.

The painted timber will not require re-painting within eight years of manugacture, provided that it receives a basic inspection and cleaning at least once a year.

The glass and the metal fittings are guaranteed for ten years.
